April Fools Meet, 2013

A fantastic weekend in Buckinghamshire countryside with a fortunate appearance from the sun! The MTFR were privileged to visit The Waddesdon Estate, to include The Windmill Archive Centre, the wine cellars and The Manor. Our very grateful thanks to The Rothschild family for this. A great day was concluded with a meal and night run to The Carriage House Restaurant.

On Sunday the 40 Model Ts toured North Bucks passing The Silverstone Circuit, and surrounding villages. The club enjoyed a well deserved coffee stop at Whittlebury Hall before returning to The Bell Hotel, Winslow.

VCC / MTFR Visit to Evenley Gardens

15 Model Ts and 11 Vetran cars visited Evenley Wood Gardens on a sunny but cold day, in May 2013. A pleasant 40 mile road run followed. Thanks to Martin and Sue Waller.

Other May Events

We've been busy at several events, including The National Alpacca Show, Bucks Young Farmers Show and a visit from the local Velocette Owners Club. May also saw the arrival of another container from the USA.

MTFR Sywell Spring Tour, June 2013

49 Model Ts enjoyed Northamptonshire, Bucks, Leicestershire and Warwickshire countryside. Albert & Jill Stanton treated us to three days of wonderful flat touring. A few of the highlights included lovely stops at Canons Ashby, Foxton Locks and Olney. We also visited the extensive WW2 collection at the Sywell Aviation Museum.

Frank's Bit of a Do, June 2013

850 mile tour of Northern Scotland. 10 Model Ts took part plus a few a few locals joining in from day to day. Attractions included The Orkneys, John O' Groats, Castle of Mey, Cape Wrath, Ullapool, Lochinver, Balmoral Castle and Glen Shee. With thanks to Frank Hodgkins of Barbon tours (!) for this fantastic 10 days.

Bucks County Show, Sept 2013

We are proud to have a tradestand at our local county show, drumming up support for both our Model T and domestic oil tank services. This year we had a replica production line where visitors could interact with aspects of Model T assembly.
